Ariel Cook joined the Office of General Counsel in July 2019.  Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, Attorney Cook was an Associate at Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP.  She focused on employment litigation prevention, litigation and labor relations.  Prior to her position at Constangy, she worked at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Inc. as an Equal Justice Works Fellow, and Deputy Unit Head, litigating complex consumer and commercial cases.  Attorney Cook also worked as an adjunct professor at Florida Coastal School of Law for over five years, teaching Poverty Law, Pretrial Litigation Drafting, and a variety of skills-based courses.  

Ms. Cook received a Bachelor of Arts, in History, with Honors, from Boston College in 2004, magna cum laude.  She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Boston University in 2007.

Attorney Cook is a current member of the Florida Bar, Jacksonville Bar Association, Jacksonville Federal Bar Association, and Fourth Circuit Pro Bono Committee.  She also currently serves on the Florida Bar Civil Procedure Rules Committee and the Board of Directors for Girls Inc. of Jacksonville.  She was a member of the Florida Bar William Reece Smith, Jr., Leadership Academy, Class IV, and previously served on the Executive Committee of the Chester Bedell Inn of Court.
