Ashley B. Benson joined the Office of General Counsel in September 2013.  Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, Ms. Benson worked at Taylor, Day, Grimm, Boyd & Johnson.  Attorney Benson evaluated claims for settlement, managed a large caseload, researched and analyzed federal and state laws and regulations while advising clients for compliance.

She interned with the United States Customs and Border Protection providing litigation support for staff attorneys in both civil and criminal law.  Attorney Benson also interned with Chief Justice Hunstein, at the Supreme Court of Georgia.  She performed research on a multitude of legal issues and questions of first impression for court opinions.

Ms. Benson received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Florida in 2007.   She obtained a Juris Doctor Degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2010.

Attorney Benson is a member of the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida.
